Rio 2016 Olympics

Walt: synthesise information from multiple sources

For 4 years I have been training and now the time has come. The time when I get to compete in the OLYMPICS. As time pass by I have been training knowing that I am a champion. Now the time has come for me to face other countries and represent New Zealand.

To compete in the olympics you have to be good at something like for example I am good at the hurdles. So you will have to face other people that you don’t even know. The sport that I will  be playing is hurdles if you don’t know what that is it is when you have a race and in that race there are high obstacles that you can leap over who ever makes it to the finish line first wins. I picked the hurdles because it isn’t that hard for me because all you do is just  jump and sprint to get to the finish line. If I come 2nd or 3nd I would still be happy because at least I made it that far.

Competing in the olympics I am going to represent NZ because I was born in New Zealand and I am doing it for my family who are in NZ. Another reason is because in New Zealand there are a lot of famous sport players and one day I want to be just like them. I would like to represent NZ because I am doing it for people in my family who has past away. Hurdles for me it has been an awesome sport so that's why I would rather play that sport then different ones.

If I was competing in the olympics I would be so excited because I mean come on it’s the olympics. But if I was there I would be proud and excited at the same time I would also be nervous. To be competing in the olympics it would be a miracle to me I mean I have been training for this just for 4 years. I think if I was there it would be kind of weird because you're competing different kinds of countries and you wouldn't know if they're good or not.

Going to the olympics would be AMAZING but how would you feel if you were going to the olympics rio 2016? To all those people who are representing NZ I give a shout to them and say that you can do this never give up because you are a champion. Just so you know if I came 2nd or 3nd I should be proud of myself because at least I came a place but if I came 1st well some people say that is my dream but not really I just want people to know that there are other people in the world that are talented.

Task Description: We had to do our plan and think about vocab because you know we have a lot of cool ideas in our head. Then as a class we did our introduction. After that we finished it off by our self's.

My Duffy book

My book is called book uncle and me and it is about two people and there is one person who has an uncle and he loves to read books. Her uncle loves books so much but there was one book that he really loved  that book that he loved he gave it to her and she loved it to, but it was like a old fashion book so she wasn't really interested into it. one day she saw a old man he looked just like the man on the book she read about but instead of young he was really old she got to talk to him and get a long with him. Now she knew why her uncle really loved the book maybe because he loved the character because he was so famous. So one day she told her uncle if she could borrow the book because she didn't really get to read the whole book. So she really loved the books that her uncle would read and she thought that when she gets older maybe she could do the same thing.

Task Description: Thanks for reading my book I read it and as I was reading this book it was like a Indian book. If I was you I would really want to read this but at the same time I wouldn't because like I didn't really like it I didn't really find it interesting but yeah I don't know if it would be a good book to read.

Her heart was pounding after being chased by a giant moa. As the sun went down she could still hear the heavy stomps coming from the moa. She didn’t know which way to go. Hine was searching for help, but no one came. Soon she decided to hide behind the trunk of a fallen tree.

After a while, Hine decided to take a peek. Suddenly the moa ran towards her. Hine was forced to run towards a river so that she could hide. Then she heard someone. It was a man named Sione from her village. “Why are you here aren’t you supposed to look after my dad?” Hine said. “I am here because the King said that I had to look for you” Sione replied. "After all you are the princess" he said. But Sione had forgotten the directions to get back home. "We need to find a way to get back to the tribal village before the moa comes back” Hine said. "Wait!! What if instead of it eating us what if we eat it?" Sione said.

Next, they both worked out a plan on the dusty cold sand and used rocks to show each other how they were going to attack it. So they made traps and both sat under a tree where the moa couldn't see them. Boom! The dangerous big moa tried to run but got stuck in the trap. “Hahahaha I told you it would work” said Sione. “

Finally they washed some leaves that they found on the ground, and cut open the moa. It smelt disgusting, but they decided to eat it anyway. Later that day they returned to their tribe. The king was so worried as he thought that Sione would not return with his daughter. Hine's father told her never to go in the forest alone ever again.

 

Task description: This is my story and it is about a moa who is attacking a girl neamed Hine, and she get scared because it is a big bird she thought it would attack her. Here is my picture to go with it.
