Facts about Wetas
Walt: Bugs ( Weta )
Yes if your confused about why we are learning about bugs well we aren't we are just doing this for fun. So we got to pick a bug we would like to research about I picked Wetas. Anyway I just found out that Wetas are actually endemic to NZ ( New Zealand ). I actually already knew that a Weta is really big but I found out it is kind of like a size of your head ( not really sure). This fact is my favourite fact it is about how the name from Weta comes from the Maori word ( wetapunga ) which means god of ugly things. Wetas are actually known as the biggest insect on earth. I am really interested in the fact that Wetas are nearly instinct because of rats.

Looking forward to camp
Walt: Thoughts about camp
For this years camp I am really looking forward to going to the pools. Because last year we could only dive I think it was because of the weather at night. So I am really looking forward to this year's pool trip because I think it is going to be way better than last year.
Also I hope that the weather is nice and sunny and no storm like last year. It was the first time ever that our school camp groups had to sleep in classes, because of the weather it was so strong that my tent broke down. So I hope that the weather is better than the weather from last year.
Speaking of this year being fun I am really excited for our dance item, because have I even told you that I am a camp leader. So I am going make my team work as hard as they can to win. Even if we don’t win I am still happy because I know it is going to be really fun. Go Principals!
So only two days to go and then camp. I am pretty sure that this year's camp is going to be way better than last year's camp if it isn’t at least I got to go camp. Just hope for the weather to be nice and sunny.

Facts about Native Birds
| Walt: make connections across multiple texts. |
Why would having more native birds in Tāmaki be better? Because in Tamaki native birds in New Zealand are very important to us. Birds are special they can help with different kinds of things.
I think Tamaki should have silvereye birds because I have never ever seen a silver eyed bird. Not only in tamaki but everywhere I go I only see magpies. I have also always wanted a silver eyed bird as a pet because it looks so cute.
Some people think that Pigeons are very talented but some people can think pigeons are just annoying. Well this is how Pigeons are annoying so for example if you are just sitting there relaxing say you were doing homework. Then all of a sudden it is too hot and you open the window then a few minutes later a pigeons flies in and you not sure how to get it out. So yeah I would really want less pigeons.
I think that Tamaki needs more Kiwis for people to see them in this area, because I have never seen a kiwi in tamaki yes some people can see them in other places in New Zealand but not in Tamaki. I also think we need more Silver eyed birds because they are so cute and people can do things useful instead of just lying in your house sleeping. As I said that Tamaki should have less Pigeons because they can really annoy you in your house or even in school.
Task Description: Doing this was so fun learning about Birds being a bird expert. I also learnt that Birds actually eat bugs well not only because it is yummy, but because bugs eat trees and then birds eat bugs after that, birds poos and then a tree grows. So that was really interesting because I never knew that. Hope you enjoy my information about Birds.

Te taiao o tamaki

Walt: make connections across multiple texts.
This year we are learning about Te Taiao Tamaki. I am really excited because I have never learnt about this, and I really want to know more about it. I also have this thing called Quad blogging if you don't know what quad blogging is well let me tell you. Quad blogging is when someone picks 3 people for you to comment on their blogs so it is like your buddy's with someone you don't know. So yeah I am really looking forward to that.

The Race!
Walt: We are learning how to write a recount.
Have you ever raced your class on a field before? Well our lesson was to race on our school field. I thought we were just going to do normal work on our chromebooks, but I was wrong. It was just a normal day until our teacher told us to line up outside and put our shoes on.
Surprisingly we had to line up he told us to be quiet while walking i was so confused, but excited at the same time. After walking and walking we stopped at the field. He told us to line up under the goal post now that’s when I was confused. In a serious way he told us that we were to run down to the end of the field where the other goal post was and back to this one.
I wasn’t actually that worried about coming last because he told us it wasn’t a race after all. He told us to not make a noise because there were other classes. When I heard that we weren’t even allowed to scream I wasn’t that worried because who would scream when they're running.
Go! Our teacher said Sprinting down to the other goal post I bursted out with laughter even though I thought I wouldn’t be screaming like that. I was only laughing because my friend Amelia tripped over, well yeah she is our class clown. Running back I didn’t care what was happening I was just so happy that I got to sit down.
Finally we finished the run well more like 100 meter run anyway I was so happy we were done. Later on our teacher put us into two groups so we could have a drink. Feeling the water come into my mouth I felt like I was going up to heaven. Just so you know I am never ever doing that again.
Task Description: Well believe it or not we didn't really know what wee were going to to do today we were just so confused. but we knew that we were going to do a recount well I knew. We had discuss about what a recount iss what you need to write in a recount. Hope you enjoy my family.
